Super Bowl ... flag style

These boys made it the SUPER BOWL!!! This is a BIG deal and they were UNDEFEATED in the regular season  and in playoff. They did not come out with a win in the super bowl but they played hard and had a great season we are very proud of them all.

And did I mention they had the greatest coaches. Firm, and expected ALOT from these boys, but LOVED them and had fun too.

Are you ready for some football?

Along with soccer this fall Harrison also played on a flag football team. He did great and the team was u defeated in regular season and playoff play. Harrison LOVED football and is looking forward to playing tackle next fall.
This this the cutest group of tough boys every. These 5-7 year olds practiced 2-3 hours a night 2 or 3 times a week and played HARD each Saturday for games. This is a really special group of little boys, coaches, and parents.
Harrison played much better than we thought he would, but he seems to keep surprising us when it comes to sports. We don't know where this ability comes from but he is becoming a Really good little athlete.

On the ground and getting flags.
Harrison is the one with yellow and orange cleats.
And he played wide receiver and he actually CAUGHT passes and ran the ball... we are so proud.

Are you Ready for some FOOTBALL?

When soccer began so did another season of flag football. 4 of this boys are on the soccer team as well and this is the 7th round of teams with the same wonderful coaches. Harrison likes football better than another sport much to my dismay.

TOUCHDOWN!!! Even with just one shoe :)

Ready for Some Football

This past weekend we had Harrison's first Flag Football game. He is LOVING football and picking it up pretty well. He LOVED his games Saturday and even made a field goal which MADE HIS DAY!!! He is full force all day long but he with soccer and basketball he surprised us how timid he was. But he is beginning to get more aggressive.

He has had the same coaches since fall soccer, so for soccer, basketball, and now soccer and football some of the same boys have stayed together and they have had so much fun together and their coaches are so good with these kids.

The picture below Harrison is in the process of making a field goal and doing a 360 degree spin to get away from the other team.

Are You Ready For Some Football?

Basketball is over and Harrison is signed up and ready to go for spring soccer. Here is the rub.... Soccer and Flag Football are at the same time so we thought we would do soccer, then we find out that the coaches that Harrison had for fall soccer and basketball were coaching both soccer and football, and several of his buddies. This means Harrison also wanted to play football. And since we are not in school yet we considered doing both, and Harrison keep on asking and asking and asking.

So John told Harrison to do some "research" and come up with a presentation to convince him that Harrison should be able to play both soccer and football, and since soccer was already paid for that meant he only had to convince John on football.

So as soon as John left for work we started on research, and watching you tube on how to play flag football. Harrison told me what he wanted in his "presentation" and it was poster time.
And since John was not home yet when we had to head to the YMCA for practice on the last day of sign ups we made a video and sent it to John. Then had YouTube videos to show him when he got home,
Here is Harrison's presentation, he still gets a bit nervous with his speech as you will see, but John said YES! So in a couple of weeks soccer and flag football will begin.
