Sad day

It is a SAD day for this Mama. Harrison asked to put his trains ALL OF HIS TRAINS in the attic. He has been mentioning it for a while but this morning he had a friend coming and he insisted that the trains went to the attic.  Ever since the move he has not really been playing with them. We thought the biggest part of it was that his room was upstairs and he did not like being up there without us. But lately when friends have come over he has gotten upset because all everyone wants to play is trains. And really who would want to play with anything else when you see tubs and tubs of trains and train tracks? So anyway the trains are in the attic at least for now.

Play time

This is the reason we gave Harrison the bonus room for his room, and the reason why we did not not put the saggy carpet upstairs..... The reason Harrison was excited about the move was the fact that he got the biggest room in the house and could build and leave up BIG train tracks. At the old house we would make big tracks in the sunroom but they could only stay a day or two. He is super excited now if we can just find a playmate. There at lots of kids on our street but I think they are all girls and older than Harrison

Thomas LIVE

Yesterday we went to watch Thomas LIVE. Harrison has been looking forward to this for a couple of months and counting down to the day. He was so EXCITED.

 We got a few goodies
Harrison was a bit disappointed, he expected the trains to be as big as real trains. He said he thought it would be the "real Thomas & Friends". But once the show started he enjoyed it.
Our Friend Stephanie went along for the ride, and a little shopping before hand.

He GOT it

Harrison has been saving his money for this Thomas Set. He asked for it for his birthday but with a $129 price tag we told him he would not get it. So he saved his money. It was on Sale for $99 and he we got $13 worth of coupons in the mail last week so after his birthday money and working hard we took him to get it this past Sunday.

Harrison is saving his money

Harrison is saving his money... He wants this new Thomas track thing from the new Misty Island Movie. He wanted for his birthday and we told him it cost way too much so not to expect it ($129) and he asked about Christmas and I told him if he got it for Christmas it would be his only gift, he did not like that idea either. So he is saving money. He did get a little for his birthday so he keep it and he has convinced grandparents for some loose change but is is working hard for it. Right now it is on sale for $99 so I hope I can still find it for that when he gets his money.

One way is his earning money is with his chore chart. We already had the chart with items that he should be doing on it and he got to add a magnet when he completed those chores which he still does but we also are giving magnets when he does a good job with things we are working on improving. For example, not whining when asked to move from one activity to another, or NOT getting on his bike EVERY TIME we come through the garage, or coming in the first time we ask from outside. SO when he gets the WHOLE chart filled up he gets $5. He has $55 now and should have his chart filled up today so that will give him $60 so he is half way there.

Harrison and his trains

Here are a few pictures from last night... these area Harrison's LOVE, we had to separate the trains by their railway lines, owners, and types last night.

And he has been asking for a while to set up a BIG track in the sun room, we try to keep them in his room but it is fun to make a big track from time to time.

John counted over 110 trains last night and I know we are "missing" about 5 -8 from being in the car, or "time out" for Harrison's behavior.

Birthdays

Birthday season has began at our house over the past couple of week Harrison or all of us have had a couple birthdays to get the ball going. This past weekend we celebrated Stephanie birthday above with her hubby. Stephanie is a dear friend of mine and a GREAT babysitter for Harrison. They LOVE EACH OTHER. She is a teacher so she is a busy lady but we tie her down when ever we can. We LOVE her.

Harrison also had a party at a friends house (who's Mom also helped me with Harrison some this summer, I guess if you don't have family locally you just find your own)Next week's is Grammy's, then Mine, then Grandpa's, Then HARRISON'S, then Daddy's.... We have LOTS of fall birthdays around here. And We are starting on goodies for Harrison's party. above are the envelopes for Harrison's invites. I did not have return labels to match so I took some I had that were blue ( and a bit babyish) and just put Thomas sticker on top and mad our own. I was going to post the invites but since it has the date, place, and time of the party I thought not, too much information on the web. But He is finally getting his Thomas Party. He asked for one the last two years but we knew he could not handle other kids playing with his trains. So HOPEFULLY this year he will be able to share :) we will see. I am going to have 3 or 4 train tables set up and another track on the floor, so at least he won't be able to be everywhere at once.

Misty Island Rescue

EXTRA EXTRA!!!!

The NEW Thomas Movie MISTY ISLAND RESCUE came out Tuesday on DVD. It was suppose to be at the movies (1 theater) in town a couple months ago but NO ONE could tell us anything about it and we could not find.

SO.... Tuesday when it was released John picked it up for Harrison. Now, all the new trains in the movie were ALREADY on HIS LIST (birthday and Christmas list) and he knew about them all before even ever seeing them. HE LOVES LOVES LOVES Thomas the train, we should have bought stock in Thomas. I really don't know how anyone could LOVE Thomas more than Harrison.

Day Out With Thomas

Today we took Harrison to see Thomas. It was lots of fun but as you look at these pictures you can tell it was a bit much for Harrison. I don't know that a little boy could LOVE Thomas and trains anymore than him, and he has been talking about seeing Thomas for months. This morning he came running into our our bed so excited that today was the day to see Thomas. But it was so crowded so it took a bit to get warmed up. He did really enjoy it and talked about it the rest of the day.
I think he wanted to see Sir Topham Hatt as much as Thomas so we waited in line and he was a happy boy.

There were loads of boys and girls decked out in their best Thomas wear .

We got to play and take a train ride pulled by Thomas himself.

Our baby boy is getting SO BIG. Where did my baby go?

One of Harrison's best buddies was also there and they were super excited to see each other and enjoyed playing trains together too.
