Teacher Gifts

This past week Harrison  finished up with Pre K.  We wanted to give a little something to his music teacher, creative movement, Bible teacher, director etc without spending a lot of money. We had just made Mixed Berry Jam. Since my Son helped picked the berries and make the jam so he was proud to gives these out.

SO we put a little Tag on the them and a small spatula that I had won a bag of of at a party last year and we were done.

For a couple of of the teachers that that were really special to time we added a small piece of pottery from a local potter.

craft room

So I am so glad that we were able to bring  these shelves and cabinets with us. We were not for sure if we be able to bring them but since we did not have a buyer come moving day we took them off the walls. So this is kinda a a catch all room but it works. It is a craft area for me, with the small table we use for school type work. and the new bunk beds are in this room to have a second guest room. It is not the prettiest room in the house but other than the kicthen it may be the most used room.
This was the last room to get done, we keep putting off hanging these shelves, but now that they are up the fun can begin.... and birthday prep for a carnival party is in full swing.

Teacher Gift

We made this today for the director at Harrison's Mother's Day Out. I got the idea from http://somethingcraftastical.blogspot.com/2010/12/teacher-appreciation.html?spref=bl  Her's is a little "prettier" and all matchy but this is our try and we were pleased with how it turned out.

More Vinyl

I did this ice bucket before my 31 Gifts party a couple weeks ago.
Then today we made these for Harrison's teacher's at Mother's Day Out.
The Initial of their last name on the front and on the back it has to the teacher's name and from Harrison.  I got the idea from here http://62cards.blogspot.com/2011/01/vinyl-jars.html
They are not the same size because I got this 4 piece canister set at Big Lots today. The set was $10 and I had a 20% coupon so that made them just $8 for for cute, clean jars. They had candy jars for $4 each but I Liked these better and now I have two more for gifts later.

Vinyl

I have finally jumped in to the world of Vinyl... I got my Circut last year for Christmas and have been scared of the vinyl. BUT I am loving it right now.
These will make cute Easter buckets and a great way to "wrap" birthday gifts etc.

This is  is Harrison's train box I am loving it.

Something Craftastical: Teacher Appreciation

Found this cute idea on another blog.

Something Craftastical: Teacher Appreciation:

Paperoni

Last week while Matthew was here for snow days I pulled out some Paperoni  that I had gotten on sale after Christmas. I  like having things on hand for times such as these. The boys like the activity and it was worth the couple dollars I spent since they used them for over an hour and we have lots left for another day. However I would not pay full price at least for little one. They are a little pricey but I found some great deals (like 75% off) after Christmas

Here is a link to amazon.com but you can get them at Target, Wal-mart etc.

Our Monster

This week Harrison and I have not been feeling the best so we are a little house burnt so I have been pulling out all the bells finding something to do. I bought this monster a couple months ago at Tuesday Morning for $1.99 and it was a hit.
This is what came in the box. Everything you needed for the project. So we went to work after we finished with "school work" today. There are several different "monsters". I looked online and they were $4-$8 each. If I find anymore good deals I will be grabbing them up.

You might notice the paint and crayons on the table, and I have had several people ask where I let Harrison do all his crafts. I got this table and chairs (2) at IKEA about a year or year and half ago for $70 and it has been great. Not that I want him to write on furniture but this allows him to enjoy his tasks and I don't have to stress about the mess. I also have foam mats under the table for easy clean up.

This monster has gained a spot in Harrison's Heart and his bed tonight.
