Clean Out 2011 -- Master part 1
Yesterday Harrison and I cleaned out under my bed. We have tall beds so there is storage space there and who is not always looking for storage. Under the guest bed I have totes with wrapping stuff, Harrison's Lincoln logs, etc. But I wanted to clean out under the master bed. We took EVERYTHING out and Harrison went under with a wet towel. Now all that is under our bed is a boot box (of John's) and my old flute (which I can't every decide to do with). While we were at it I also went through all three drawers of my night stand and the basket of goodies (aka junk) on my night stand and it is gone now and all the drawers are cleaned out and we tossed about half of the junk.

CLEAN OUT 2011 -- Kitchen part one
Do you have drawers full of this stuff... Last week I took a hour or so and took out all these kitchen tools, washed them, cleaned out the drawer, got rid of the things I don't use and put everything back up. I also did this with my silverware drawer. Then I moved to cabinets that I store snacks etc, and the Harrison cabinet, med., cups, etc. Here is some more guidance http://www.getorganizedwizard.com/community/organize-5-actions/732-reorganize-kitchen-cupboard.html
Have you done this lately?

CLEAN OUT 2011 -- some reading
2011 CLEAN OUT --- trash bag

I recently found a new blog http://www.getorganizedwizard.com/blog/ (they sell products too) that is really easy to follow and easy steps. I used to look at www.flylady.net and they have some good ideas but it was just TOO MUCH for me. It seemed to just add more work to what I was already doing.
One ideas (which I do this fairly often anyway) is http://www.getorganizedwizard.com/blog/2009/04/get-organized-mission-1-fill-a-hu-u-uge-trash-bag/ is to simply get a trash bag and take it through your house, and don't stop till it is full. I just walked through the house grabbed trash, broken toys I saw laying about, opened every closet, I tossed a couple rolls of wrapping paper that I had been saving but really did not have enough on them to wrap anything larger than a DVD, metal hangers, John left laying on the floor, emptied one bathroom trash can etc. you get the picture. I did this one Sunday after I was dressed and waiting for it to be time to go to church, so see it does not take much time. I probably took more time blogging about it than it took to fill my bag.
So grab a bag and fill it up. THEN CLOSE it and TAKE IT OUT no looking back. If you want to you can leave a comment that you did it too if you want a bit of accountability too.
