Bermuda Part 4 - Around the Island and Zoo

One day we enjoyed a walk around Hamilton and found this beautiful church, and a grocery store which we were really looking for. The KFC below is the ONLY CHAIN on the island and some friend had lunch there and a bucket of 18 pieces was $50.
We also headed to the zoo and it was the highlight of Harrison's trip. We saw some of the same fish that we saw at the beach and we were able to get really close to the animals. Much closer than at home. He thought it was great.

These fish Chilton ( I think they were called)  were everywhere. They just stuck to the sides of the rocks above the water line.

The touching pond was a HUGE HIT. Harrison really enjoyed getting to see and touch all these cool ocean creatures.

I enjoyed seeing all the plant life and buildings. Each home is responsible for their own water supply so beneath the houses are large wells. then the roofs are designed to gather and filter the rain water. All the buildings were brightly painted and have to repainted about every 3 years.
